The Internet was first developed as a means of mass communication, but it has become something much more than that: it has become the world’s biggest marketplace. The Internet is often the first place shoppers turn to for what they are looking for. That is one of the most important reasons anyone looking to sell video games should strongly consider selling them online. You will have a much better chance of selling or trading your video games with customers within the entire United States than you will at your local game trader store or pawn shop.

There are some important points to consider when looking for a website to sell your games on – there are many places you can sell your used video games. They range from an auction type of setting (eBay) to an individual sale store front, or to an online retailer. The fastest way to get needed cash for your used games is to sell the games to an online or brick-and-mortar retailer. Typically, online stores can afford to pay for your games and systems since they don’t incur the overhead that retail stores do.

Another popular method is a combination of the store front combined with active communication abilities so sellers can talk with their potential buyers. Some sites allow selling but not trading so if you are interested in exchanging video games rather than selling them this is an important aspect to check for.

When considering what to sell, the most popular used video game systems are the Xbox 360, Wii, Playstation 3, and Playstation 2. Older game versions such as the NES, Super Nintendo, Sega Genesis, and Sega Master System sell well to those that love the thrill of collecting what they hope may become collector’s items, and of course, to the those people that still operate those classic consoles, but most pawn shops and retail stores will not take the older systems, as they do not sell well to their (somewhat limited) customer base. Local pawn shops, or retail stores that allow resale will have limited sales of older units, but if you are selling older game styles you have a much better chance online where your potential customer base is millions of times larger than any possible customer base locally.

Should you choose to go the more difficult route of selling the games to consumers yourself, something to look for when deciding on a site to sell a video game on or to is how much traffic the site receives. There are several online sources where you can check a website’s ranking for free. It is best to use a rank checker that gives the rank of a variety of sources, not a dedicated rank checker than only gives one sites rank for the site. Rank is given to a website between 1 and 10 and the higher the number the better. This indicates that a website has a large volume of traffic as well as incoming links. That is important to you because it indicates a large potential customer base. Many online video game sales sites will boast their rank or traffic right on their pages because it is a way to attract sellers.

Perhaps even more important than a website’s traffic is how easy and comfortable it feels for you to use. Spend a little time looking around each sales site and learning the methods they use to sell video games as well as how you can communicate with buyers. Pick the website that you feel most comfortable with. You will also need to check each website’s TOS (Terms of Service) to check for any problematic demands they might make, and to compare the prices they charge with the prices of other websites you are considering. Most TOS policies are standard but always check them because there may be a website that makes an attempt to sneak things by sellers who do not read the ‘fine print’.

Selling online is easy and fun when you take the precautions you need to feel good about the site you are dealing with. If you are looking to get the best possible prices for your used video games and systems in the shortest amount of time, doing some research first will insure you get the best possible prices for your games and consoles.

I always get phone calls about laptops and how to know if it is a good laptop or a dud. There are several things I look at before I purchase a laptop.

1. Amount of memory – I will not purchase a laptop without at least 1GB of DDR memory. (I Prefer 2GB in order to have my laptop running super fast)

2. Hard Drive – Now this depends on what you use it for but for a family computer in today’s market 120GB hard drive or higher is what you should be looking for because music downloads, Internet surfing, and pictures will fill a hard drive faster than you think.

3. Brand – Stick with the names you can trust: HP, Compaq, Dell, Acer, Sony, Toshiba are my top companies for laptops.

4. CPU Speed – Since it is hard to tell these days the speed of a motherboard due to AMD verse Intel, and new technology, just shoot for 3.0Gz P4 or higher. I have used AMD and Intel and they both get the job done, so I will save the money and get the AMD Processor instead in most cases.

5. Ports – make sure that is has all the ports you will need. USB 2-4 ports, if you have firewire devices make sure it has a firewire port on the laptop so you do not have to purchase one later.

6. DVD Burner: I suggest getting a computer with DVD Burner on it so you can easily back up your computer, plus burn huge files when needed.

These are the top things I look for then I compare prices and purchase the best deal, for more information please check out my website www.cmcomp.com

Kids love video games, but most such games have little or no educational value and many even glorify violence. So it’s no surprise that parents often put severe limits on the types of games their kids can play and how often and long they can play them.

That’s not to say that all video games are bad. Many educational toy makers and children’s book publishers have used the popularity of video games to their advantage and created educational computer games. Kids find these fun and entertaining and adults like them because they teach kids new things and reinforce what they are learning in school.

Computer Games for Preschoolers

In this the “Information Age”, it is becoming increasingly important for children to become comfortable with computers when they are young. Computer games are available for kids as young as preschool age. While your child probably won’t be able to do much typing at that age, you can help her learn how to use a mouse. And that is all that most games aimed at young children require.

Preschoolers can play games that help them learn the alphabet, numbers, shapes and colors. Some games help a child learn to match objects or develop early phonics skills. These games serve a dual purpose of educating your child about the subject at hand and getting her comfortable with the computer.

Computer Games for Grade Schoolers

Once your child starts school, computer games can help her grasp concepts that she is having trouble with in school in a fun and pressure-free way. Finding educational games that feature her favorite cartoon characters will keep her interested, and she may not even realize just how much she is learning. If you find a game that allows two players to compete, you or a brother or sister could play along with her to provide some lighthearted competition.

Those who are having trouble with reading or math often find computer games particularly useful. Games that introduce phonics, addition and subtraction are plentiful. The key is to find a game that will keep your child’s attention while focusing on the specific things she is having trouble with.

How Much Is Too Much?

Although educational computer games are good for children they should still be used in moderation. Sitting in front of a computer playing the same game for hours on end will not benefit your child. She needs to participate in physical activity and non-electronic educational activities as well.

Opinions vary, but a half hour to an hour a day is a good rule of thumb for video game limits. There’s no point in pushing your child to play every day, either. If she doesn’t want to play, then requiring her to do so may cause her to dislike the game and defeat the purpose of it.

Computer games are a fun way to help your child learn new things and do better in school. When used in moderation, they can supplement other teaching methods nicely. Providing appropriate games and letting your child decide when to play while setting time limits will maximize the benefits of these great educational resources.

Everyone has probably heard of NetFlix, the company that puts a DVD rental store in your mailbox. But, a little newer, and growing quickly in popularity, is a collection of online video game rental companies. They work much the same way as NetFlix. You sign up online, setup a list of games you’d like to play, and wait for them to show up in your mailbox. When your done playing, drop it the mailbox, and wait for your next one to show up. Shipping both ways is paid for by the game rental company. Convenient and cheaper than buying and renting from your local video / games store.

The are a variety of plans to consider, when you choose to rent video games online. The main factor distinguishing the plans, is the number of games you are allowed to have checked out at one time. The more games checked out, the higher your monthly fees. Plans usually allow from one to six games out at a time. The severity of your gaming addiction will of course determine which plan you sign up for. I would personally stay away from the one game out at a time plan. Having a two or more plan, guarantees you will always have at least one rental game in your console, even if one is in transit.

The other thing I should mention, is that console games are the only games you can rent. Due to illegal copying issues, PC games have never really found their way into the rental business. But, most companies do carry games for just about any console you might have. Wii, Xbox, Xbox 360, PS, PS2, PS3,PSP, Nintendo DS, GameBoy Advance, and even the Nintendo Game Cube. Some companies do offer videos as well, but it’s best to browse their selection, and make sure they have the kind of titles you would be interested in.

Another safety net that most companies provide, is the free trial. That makes signing up a pretty easy decision. You could even sign up with more than one company at a time, and give them a real good comparison. It won’t cost you anything, and only make you a more informed consumer.

If you are an avid online gamer, you most certainly have suffered from game lag and computer freezes. Many have spent hours trying to tweak in-game graphical settings in order to increase the frame rate and boost the performance of their favorite games. However, in more case than not, those efforts award the player with only a slight improvement in overall game play. Your system might even meet the recommend hardware specs for optimum performance but the game causes computer freezes when the action gets heavy. However, tweaking the in-game specs and upgrading hardware may not be the best way to overcome game lag and computer freezes.

This irritation may be attributed to conflicting software that is competing for your system’s resources or improper configuration. Most online games such as World of Warcraft should run smoothly on an average setup. Game manufacturers assure us that their recommended specs should run the game smoothly. However those recommendations are calculated when the games are tested on PCs that were optimized for those particular games. There are very few who are willing to dedicate a whole computer specifically for a single game. Nevertheless, there are a couple steps that you can take to free up more resources for your game play. These tips will allow you to better optimize your PC for smoother game play booth online and off-line. .

Stop Game Lag and Computer Freezes Tip #1: Get more bang out of your bandwidth.

There are literally dozens of services running on your Windows operating system. These programs have no respect for your online play. They need bandwidth and system resources just as much as your online games. Many of the programs automatically startup when you log on to the net or at the moment Windows loads. Windows service programs can perform a host of operations from searching for updates, downloading, and even sharing applications with your games. The task is to cut down on the amount services running while your are playing the game in order to free up bandwidth and resources. This is a great tip to stop game lag and computer freezes. Here is how.

1. Click on “Start”

2. Click “Run”

3. Type services.msc

4. Select “Extended” from the Services Window to view a detailed description. Also note the status of the service in question.

5. To stop the service, select “Stop the service” or right click the service, choose “All task” then click “Stop”

6. Click “OK”

Stop Game Lag and Computer Freezes Tip #2: Turn off your Anti-virus/Anti-spyware programs during play.

I am sure the suggestion scares you. However, these programs are very taxing on your computer. They can cause game play lag and computer freezes by initiating a host of small applications and processes during game play. Turning these programs off during your game play is not entirely risk free but you will be amazed at the results by doing so.

Stop Game Lag and Computer Freezes Tip #3: Making sure hardware and software can ”communicate”

This an extremely important step that many gamers tend to miss. DirectX is essential to most next generation Windows games. High multimedia graphics and sound cards require lighting fast APIs, application programming interfaces, to deliver high end graphics and sound. The API acts as a kind of bridge for the hardware and the software. In essence, APIs provide the language for hardware and software to “communicate” with each other. If there is some “miscommunication” caused by improper setup, you will suffer from game lag or computer freezes. The task here is to make sure that your audio and video hardware is properly configured with Windows DirectX technology by using DirectX diagnostics tools. Here is how:

1.	Click “Start”

2.	Click “Run.”

3.	Type dxdiag and press enter to load the “Direct X Diagnostic Tool” menu.

4.	Click the “Display” and “Sound” tabs.

5.	Verify that DX features are enabled and there are no problems.

Perform the test were need. If there are any problems reinstall Direct X and update your hardware drivers. Also you can open the Task Manger by pressing Ctrl-Alt-Delete and viewing the process tab to gauge which services are taking up the majority of system resources. Visit the “Cause of High CPU Usage” page for more details

Stop Game Lag and Computer Freezes Tip #4: Clean and Organize your Hard Drive.

A simple yet overlooked necessity to stop game lag. The faster your game can find files the less you have to worry about game lag and computer freezes. By defragging you help to cut down on the amount work the hard-drive needs to find files. Cleaning your registry cuts down on the errors and will create more free space for your RAM and CPU to work more efficiently. These two steps are a necessity to stop computer freezes. The link “4 Ways to Speed Up Your Computer” will show you how to perform these steps.

Without a doubt the habit of upgrading your computer’s hardware for the next generation of games will allow take advantage new graphic and sound card technology. However, this act makes PC gaming a more expensive hobby than it really needs to be. Hopefully, the tips above rewarded you smoother game play and will help to end your days of computer freezes and game lag.

Cheap computer chairs are low-priced computer chairs that are designed to provide comfortable sitting position when using a computer.

The climbing popularity of the Internet increases the scope for supplying cheap computer chairs. People sit before computers for Internet surfing and playing games for long hours. Unless they adopt a comfortable sitting posture before the computer, the body, which is not amenable to difficult angles and bends for long, would react adversely with back pain and other discomforts. Manufacturers are taking particular care to provide convenient computer chairs like ergonomic chairs, which can also be purchased inexpensively, for customers.

There are automatically adjusting, self-balancing, and work-environment-friendly computer chairs. The body has to move hundreds of times per day. The computer chair should also adjust to the body movements and complement the reflexes. There are many adjustable computer chairs that are made to complement any work environment, from a home office or cubicle to an executive office suite.

Besides an affordable price, a good computer should provide the necessary support to the back, legs, and buttocks so much so that proximity with the computer for long hours of work becomes easy. A good computer chair can help to create a healthy working environment. Loose ends in between the body and the chair would tax the body while it moves hundreds of times while one is working with the computer key board.

Taking care of the requirements, one would be able to procure cheap varieties of computer chairs at prices as low as $41.99, and upwards of $64.46, $ 85.99, $99.07, $104.83, and $114.99.

PC Game Cheats And Cheat Codes Did you know that by learning to use PC game cheats and cheat codes you can take your video gaming skills to the next level, and the next level, and beyond! So why not take advantage of these secret game cheats and codes and get the edge over your competition.

When I first play a new game I try to figure the game out the best I can, but when push comes to shove I go looking for game cheats. By reading and memorizing some of the cheat codes for the game I’m playing, I can usually get that extra little advantage I need to win.

Sometimes it may not seem like much, but it’s amazing how much difference it can make in the course of a game. Maybe I can get some more ammo here, or improve the life of a character there, or even get a brand new life. Whatever the case may be, I use PC game cheats to make my game a little stronger.

Something else that I really like to do is to rent a video game before I decide to buy it. That way I can check it out before I go ahead and buy. Doing this keeps me from spending good money on a game I don’t like.

My favorite video game rental company gives me just about everything I want to know about a game before I rent or buy it. I can look at cheat codes, videos, trailers, screenshots, user reviews, critic reviews, faqs and walkthroughs for any PC game I’m interested in.
